It Just Keeps Comin'!!
I tell ya, we either get nothing or everything!! What a weird winter season we've had. This morning we woke to freezing rain and now snow. We went from green, mucky and blah to completely white in a matter of hours. I don't have time to get out and play right now, but I couldn't resist these shots just outside my front door .. enjoy!!

Snowy Owl
Recently, I was very lucky to view this magnificent bird of prey. For his own protection, I cannot disclose his location. I used my 500 lens and then had to crop as well. Unfortunately, some people are more interested in chasing the bird instead of quietly photographing him and therefore pose a danger to him. This one is believed to be a young snowy.

Muskoka Wildlife Centre
In December, my mom took Ashleigh and I to the Muskoka Wildlife Centre, our first time there. What a neat place!! Here's some animal shots and I'll post some fun shots soon as well. We did some fun shots of eachother as well. Heading back in Feb to get 'up close and personal' with a few of these animals on a photography tour. Excited to share those pics with you!!

Brydee and Mike's Photo Shoot
(edit - I've just picked up 2 small jobs for Christmas photo's as well .. super exciting!)
Good morning!! I had my first (outside family) hired photo shoot this past Sunday and we had a lot of fun. Mike was a great sport!! Here's a few of my favorites from the shoot. I had fun editing as well. Their CD had well over 100 images which included all originals as well as some fun edited ones as well. Lots to choose from and Brydee LOVED them.
Thank you both so much for the opportunity to work with you and I look fwd to doing your engagement photo's when the time comes.

Meeting Winter at the Clearwater Marine Aquarium
We were recently in Florida for a family vacation and had a chance to go and meet Winter from "A Dolphin Tale" and hear her story. She's an absolute doll and so sweet. Here's a story board of how she lost her tail, the a photo of Winter showing us her tail without her prosthetic on, Panama - the oldest (deaf) female dolphin and one of the sea turtles at the aquarium.

After The First Snow of The Year
Here in Ontario, we had our first (wet) snowfall this morning. Of course I saw a photo opp when I looked outside and saw the way the droplets were hanging on the trees. Here's a few photo's I took .. enjoy!

Nature In My Own Backyard
Funny story about these ducks. We hadn't had rain for a bit, so we had the sprinkler running in the front yard. I happened to walk by the front door and couldn't figure out what on earth I was looking at!!! When I looked again, here were these 2 gosslings playing in the sprinkler!! I called my husband and he said "Those belong to someone, they're domestic". So, we watched them play for a bit (unfortunately, I didn't get good photo's) and then we went out to catch them. We couldn't leave them as they wouldn't likely survive. We finally caught them and put them in a dog crate while I went for a drive to see if I could find the owners. I lucked out BIG time when I went to our corner store and he said to try *****'s house and so I did and they were his. Apparently, he had found mom and 2 baby's dead in the back field/forest. Someone had run them over. So these 2 were running scared. He was glad to have them home and I was glad to find their home!!
Every spring/summer we have baby squirrel's in our front tree and this yr, no exception! Are these 2 not super cute?? I know, they can be destructive, but we've been lucky. They tend to leave the nest and away they go!
